Description:
Christ's Ambassadors, the Assemblies of God young people's organization, originated in 1925 as a youth program in California congregations. Initially called Pentecostal Ambassadors for Christ, within a year the program changed its name to Christ's Ambassadors and began to be adopted in churches across the nation. A national periodical titled Christ's Ambassadors Monthly began in April 1928, published in Springfield, Missouri. The first issue was enumerated volume 3, number 4. The enumeration continued from a Sunday school magazine, Christ’s Ambassadors, which began publication in 1926. Another magazine, Christ’s Ambassadors Herald, started in 1927, was published in Los Angeles, California, and was edited by Carl Edward Hatch. Christ’s Ambassadors Monthly ceased publication in December 1930, a casualty of the Great Depression.
