Description:

Due to the difficulties of the era of segregation, including an exodus of black members of the Church of God to African American groups, the General Assembly approved a separate administrative structure, Church of God (Colored Work), for members of African descent. Their general meetings were held from 1925 to 1965, with the last three being every other year. Minutes of the Annual Assembly of the Church of God (Colored Work) were published beginning in 1927.
