Message of the Open Bible, the official magazine of Open Bible Churches, began publication in 1944. The former magazine title was Open Bible Standard Messenger. Open Bible Churches, a Pentecostal denomination, was formed in 1935 by the merger of Open Bible Evangelistic Association and Bible Standard Inc. The denomination had several names: Open Bible Standard Evangelistic Association (1935-1940); Open Bible Standard Churches (1940-2006); and Open Bible Churches (2006- ).
