The Whole Truth is the official magazine of the Church of God in Christ, a predominantly African-American Pentecostal denomination. Charles H. Mason led the Church of God in Christ from 1907 until his death in 1961. Mason was previously associated with C. P. Jones in a small holiness association called The Church of God, or Church of God in Christ. Jones published a periodical titled Truth. Jones and Mason separated after Mason identified with the emerging Pentecostal movement. Mason and his associates continued with the name Church of God in Christ and began publishing The Whole Truth. Jones and his associates settled on the use of the name Church of Christ (Holiness) USA. The Whole Truth is an important source for information about Church of God in Christ history and doctrine.
